Clinical Spotlight
Clinical Spotlight is our bi-annual seminar series, aimed at practitioners working in the field of youth mental health.
The Wolfson Centre for Young People’s Mental Health's clinical seminar series was launched in the summer of 2022.
Each virtual talk lasts for an hour, including a Q&A session with the guest speaker.
Next lecture
The next Clinical Spotlight talk will be held online on Wednesday 11 December. Please register here.
We will be welcoming Professor Kapil Sayal to talk on Standardised Diagnostic Assessments (STADIA) Randomised Controlled Trial in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
Professor Kapil Sayal will be presenting the findings and learnings from the recently-completed NIHR-funded “STADIA” trial in CAMHS. STADIA looked at the use and impact of an online-delivered Standardised Diagnostic Assessment tool for children and young people (aged five to 17 years) with emotional difficulties who had been referred to CAMHS.
This large (n=1225) national trial investigated the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of using a standardised diagnostic assessment tool, following the receipt of the referral into CAMHS, on children and young people’s service-related and clinical outcomes.
