We want you to gain and develop academic study skills, so you get the most out of your studies while you’re at Cardiff University.

There are around 130 classes held in the Centre for Student Life for you to choose from, to meet your needs.
Academic Study Skills module
We’ve created an online module to keep all our resources in one place. You can access it anywhere, at any time.
Our friendly team will help you develop your academic study skills, including essay writing, critical reading and thinking, note-taking, referencing, and preparing for exams.
We’re dedicated to encouraging you to become an independent learner, with the skills you need to succeed.

Student mentors
All first-year undergraduate students can have access to a student mentor, a student who’s been in your shoes. They can provide you with a student perspective on university life and learning, your academic school and how to get the most out of your studies and time in Cardiff.
