Postgraduate taught programmes for qualified pharmacists:
Pharmacist Independent Prescribing
The course aims to provide Pharmacists with Independent Prescriber status to make the very best use of your skills to give patients quicker and more efficient access to medicines. The programme, run alongside nurses, midwives and other allied healthcare professionals, offers the opportunity for multidisciplinary learning. The course is comprised of a series of study days, self directed learning, assessments and supervised time with a Designated Medical Practitioner to build a prescribing portfolio.

We have a diverse research portfolio and our discipline areas for PhD and MPhil degrees include drug delivery and microbiology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and physiology, pharmacy, and pharmacy practice and clinical pharmacy.
Our researchers and their international networks work across multidisciplinary teams, allowing you to work collaboratively both across different schools in the University along with NHS and industry partners.
