Course information
This course can be delivered virtually or in person over 4 or 5 days. Sessions are led by a tutor with opportunities for independent study and 1:1 tutor support.

Course content
Participants come to the course with a research topic and leave with a draft protocol for their systematic review.
This course covers:
- introduction to systematic reviews and other types of evidence synthesis
- developing a protocol
- literature searching and selection of studies
- critical appraisal of quantitative and qualitative research
- extracting data – developing and adapting forms
- meta-analysis or narrative synthesis
- reporting and dissemination of evidence syntheses
