Eco-Mosques as Catalysts for Ecological Transitions in Kuwait University Campuses

Eco-Mosques as Catalysts for Ecological Transitions in Kuwait University Campuses (EMACET) engages key stakeholders with implementing actions consisting of energy-efficient retrofitting and ablution water recycling in Kuwait University mosques, for improved indoor environmental conditions, enhanced greening, biodiversity and outdoor microclimates. The project uses smart monitoring devices to measure indoor environmental conditions and water use. Computational simulation models are being employed to predict different scenarios of insulation for best performance and implement the best and easily installed solutions.
