AHRC IAA Project: Co-Producing Place Narratives

This Arts and Humanities Research Council Impact Accelerator Account (AHRC IAA) Initiative is a participatory storytelling urban photography project between the Schools of Architecture, Geography and Planning and Grange Pavilion Youth Forum.

This project seeks to advance an impact agenda through collaborative knowledge production, fostering engaged learning, developing practical skills, raising awareness, and promoting collaboration.

The scalable initiative of the project aims to empower communities, particularly young people, to share their place-based narratives about Grangetown in Cardiff through participatory storytelling and urban photography.

The project includes a range of collaborative activities and participatory events, such as interactive workshops, place photo walks, and a culminating group exhibition.
