The research for Liveable Quality and its Promotion Path for Xiamen
The research project is to analyse living quality of Xiamen, one of the top liveable cities in China.
A twin city with Cardiff from the perspective of culture and traditional heritages, public space and facilities, transport, environment, community economy and rural society.
It is suggested in the report that planning for and development of a liveable city should satisfy the seeking of better living quality of ordinary residents of a city from both physical and psychological demands. An indicator system for liveable city and development path to establish a liveable city has been proposed and accepted in the process of Xiamen planning and development policies making.
