The research for symbiosis between traditional buildings and environment in rural township in the process of urbanisation
The research project is to analyse the integration of traditional buildings and environmental protection in both rural villages and small towns within the rapid process of Chinese urbanisation by symbiosis theory.
The research has focused on the symbiotic structure, chain and network based on the system of traditional architecture style and natural environment in the towns and villages. Several ecological and sustainable technologies have been adopted in the research.
The objectives are to identify appropriate solutions to deal with the challenges of protecting historical and cultural interests and ecological environment in urbanisation process.
