£367.13 per hour.
Technician support is available.
Ultrasound is generally considered a very safe modality of imaging as no radiation is used. The ultrasound has display indices to enable the monitoring of Thermal index (TI) and the mechanical index (MI) during operation. A detailed task risk assessment (RA) needs to be approved by the Lab Manager and ENGIN Health and Safety Manager before use.
Ultrasound should only be carried out when there is a clinical or research benefit. All studies using ultrasound on human participants should be fully approved by ENGIN ethics before scanning can take place.
