Illumina NextSeq500 Sequencer
The sequencer can generate single or paired-end reads ranging from 75bp to 150bp in length (e.g. 1x75bp, 2x75bp, 2x150bp). Two sequencing scales are possible generating up to either 120M or 400M reads per run. Sequencing at the 400M read scale in 2x150bp mode, for example, would generate 120Gbp of sequence information in a single 39hr run. Such an output would provide approximately 40x coverage of a single human-sized genome.
