Illumina NeoPrep Library Workstation
The NeoPrep is a microfluidics workstation that performs automated sequencing adaptor library preps on up to 16 samples per run, with a choice of 24 Illumina TruSeq indexes. The BIOSI GRH is currently only one of a few facilities in the UK to be equipped with this platform. The currently-available NeoPrep Nano DNA kit allows automated library preparation for DNA samples with an input size range of 350bp or 550bp and with an input quantity down to 25ng. A novel protocol modification (developed by the GRH) allows DNA libraries to be prepared with smaller and wider input size ranges if required (ideal for chromatin analysis methods). We can, therefore, offer automated library prep for genome sequencing, metagenomics, ChIP-seq and chromatin-seq applications. We are currently trialling a TruSeq stranded mRNA kit which, we hope, will allow automated RNA-seq library prep from Q3 2016.
