Biodex isokinetic dynamometer
This isokinetic dynamometer allows evaluation of strength, endurance, power and range of motion of all major joints and muscles, and provides highly detailed objective data results of their performance.
Make/model | Biodex System 4 |
---|---|
Details | Tool to measure muscle and joint strength, power, edurance and range of motion. |
Facility | Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Research Facility (MSKBRF) |
School | School of Engineering |
Typical uses | Biomechanics, Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy, Sports Performance Management |
- Range of modes including isokinetic, passive, reactive, isotonic, progressive.
- Suitable for use for multiple applications from athlete to child.
- Unlimited combinations of technique and applications eg Isokinetic mode - in a continuous reciprocal motion.
- Impact-free acceleration eliminates joint trauma during the achievement of high speeds that correlate to function.
- The ability to choose concentric (500 deg/sec) and eccentric (300 deg/sec) contractions, allows the performance of isolated plymetric exercises.
