Community

RemakerSpace provides a dynamic environment where community groups can engage in hands-on learning, actively create, experiment, and tinker.

The Centre offers a diverse array of resources to support various aspects of the circular economy, and whether it’s undertaking electronic repair, designing 3D-printed objects, or undertaking textile repairs, individuals can unlock their inner creativity and have fun in the process.

Activities

As part of our activities, we organise the friendly ‘Knit, Natter, Craft, and Chatter’ social group every month. Craft enthusiasts gather to exchange tips, share patterns, and use the Centre’s domestic and industrial sewing machines. We also host Electronic Repair workshops, and our activities weave together creativity, learning, and a strong emphasis on the circular economy.

Our diverse array of resources supports various aspects of the circular economy. Repairing instead of discarding, repurposing materials, and extending product lifecycles—these practices are at the heart of what we do.

“With the Future Generations Act (Wales), the Welsh Government indicated the central position that sustainability has for our nation. While the UN Sustainable Development Goals, provide the same clarity for the international community. RemakerSpace is working to support these values by providing industry, communities and individuals with opportunities to make positive impacts on the environment, specifically supporting the delivery of a prosperous, resilient and healthier future for all that both the Future Generations Act and the SDG’s seek to achieve.”
