Our investment portfolio
We are committed to ensuring that we make investment decisions responsibly and with integrity.
Our Socially Responsible Investment Policy guides all our investments. It allows the University to pursue an ethical approach while minimising any negative effect on our investment returns whilst reflecting Charity Commission guidance on our duty to invest to support delivery of charitable purpose.
The University expects its appointed Investment Managers to invest in accordance with our policy. The University’s investment policy prohibits the direct investment in companies who work in tobacco and armaments. It also prohibits investments in companies without a clear Code of Ethics, who do not comply with the UN Compact Principles and invest in Fossil Fuels.
During our regular performance reviews, we consider investment managers’ application of our socially responsible investment policies in making investment decisions.
