Participate in research

Take part in our research and help us further our knowledge and understanding to improve patients lives.

We are frequently looking for members of the public to help with our research and there are a number of ways you can get involved. The types of research vary from simple behavioural tests, using questionnaires or computer tasks, to studies of genes, cognition and brain function.

Opportunities to participate in research

Cardiff Community Panel

We are looking for volunteers between 18 and 90 years old to participate in our research. We investigate a large range of topics, including how we see, remember, learn and reason. We also look at how our attitudes are formed, how emotions influence our behaviour and how our psychological make-up might effect our health and wellbeing.

The Neurological Vision Loss Database

We are looking for research participants for studies of neurological vision loss (NVL). Not only do we recruit those with any form of vision loss, we also recruit healthy, normal-sighted individuals to act as comparisons with those who have vision loss. As long as you are aged above 18, you are eligible to sign up to our NVL database.

The Cardiff Fertility Group

Our studies aim to gain an understanding of all aspects of reproduction, including reproductive health in men and women, optimising opportunities to conceive and advising policy making on topics in this area.

We are interested in how humans learn about the world from birth with the aim of understanding cognitive and social development. These studies help to shape public policy and the design of educational programmes for children.
