Digital Planning

Are you a public sector planner? Do you want to get on top of the digital planning agenda and how it will apply to you?

This intensive Digital Planning training will give you a grounding in the latest thinking and practice on digital planning. It will cover open data, digital twins, 3-D modelling, participatory planning, digital plan-making, Artificial Intelligence, and how to overcome the barriers to adoption.

You will learn with and from a select cohort of planners and hear from leading practitioners and planning academics from Cardiff University.

The course has been developed by Professor Peter Madden OBE, and Dr Ruth Potts in Cardiff University’s School of Geography and Planning, and is supported by RTPI Cymru. The course will benefit from several guest expert speakers.

This course will be recognised as core national CPD by RTPI.

Delivery

This course will be delivered face to face at Cardiff University’s Centre for Student Life. You will be given some pre-reading, and after the course we will ask you to complete a short post-training exercise to support your learning. The course is equivalent to approximately 1.5 days of learning, including the one day of in-person learning.
