The School of Physics and Astronomy invites those wishing to pursue a career in research post-PhD to apply for a range of fellowships.

These opportunities are available at various times throughout the year.

Science and Technology Funding Council (STFC) Ernest Rutherford Fellowships

The School will be supporting two applications for the 2024 STFC Ernest Rutherford Fellowships.

Candidates who wish to apply need to apply by 21 June 2024. Please send a complete version of the STFC ERF Expression of Interest (EoI) for departmental selection to Dr Cosimo Inserra by email: InserraC@cardiff.ac.uk.

Royal Society University Research Fellowship (URF)

The School will be supporting applications for the 2024 Royal Society University Research fellowship.

Candidates who wish to apply are encouraged to contact a staff member to devise a proposal. The staff member will then advise on the internal peer-reviewed procedure and timeline.
