We are proud to teach professional postgraduate programmes for qualified pharmacists. We also offer our Cancer Biology & Therapeutics MSc for other healthcare practitioners and biomedical scientists.

Postgraduate study for healthcare practitioners and biomedical scientists
Alongside our programmes for qualified pharmacists, the School offers highly specialist postgraduate courses for healthcare practitioners and biomedical students. These programmes provide advanced knowledge, understanding and skills training to enable graduates to establish careers within healthcare or research and development sectors.
Cancer Biology and Therapeutics (MSc)
This MSc course is designed to provide you with advanced knowledge, understanding and skills in the rapidly advancing field of Cancer Biology and Therapeutics. We will provide you with a breadth and depth of cancer-focused training that will enhance your prospects to start or continue a career within the healthcare sector and public/private sector research establishments.

HEIW Post-Registration Foundation Pharmacist Training Programme (For newly registered pharmacists in Wales)
In partnership with Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), we are delivering the Post-Registration Pharmacist Foundation Training Programme for newly registered pharmacists in Wales from September 2022.
This programme will support newly registered pharmacists to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours to confidently practice in any sector, at a generalist Post-Registration Foundation Level. It will provide an opportunity to build confidence and competence in practice beyond what is required for registration as a pharmacist, with the support from experienced practitioners.
Professional Development for Pharmacy Practitioners (MSc)
This course gives you the flexibility to undertake the full MSc in Professional Development for Pharmacy Practitioners qualification or to study modules on a standalone basis.
Our MSc Professional Development for Pharmacy Practitioners has been designed to support the development needs of pharmacists and other pharmacy practitioners e.g. pharmacy technicians. The programme will support you to develop the knowledge, skills and professional values and behaviours required by pharmacy practitioners. It will also enable you to address complex health-related challenges faced by patients and the population and you'll gain a comprehensive understanding and critical awareness of your role in a changing healthcare environment.
Our programme has been designed with in-built flexibility to allow you to undertake modules that fit into your professional and personal circumstances. There are two main study routes:
- Study Route 1: Obtaining the full MSc in Professional Development for Pharmacy Practitioners (180 credits)
- Study route 2: Stand-alone modules
