Overview
My main interest is in writing and performance. I write poetry and performance work. I have had theatre work produced at Chapter Arts Centre, and was a runner up at the John Tripp poetry award 2009.
Biography
I initially trained as an actor at RADA and went on to work for the Royal Shakespeare Company, various regional theatres, as well as TV.
I moved to Wales to bring up my family and took an Hons degree in Philosophy, History and English.
Following a PGCE I taught in college, and secondary schools, until 2000 when I completed a Masters in Cultural Politics at Cardiff University.
Postgraduate work in critical and cultural theory led to an interest in close textual analysis and in working with creative writing students to develop skills and realise creative potential.
I have run successful creative writing classes and now work as a storyteller, tutor, and speaker and facilitator at conferences and events.
