Overview
Yura Sevcenco holds a BSc Hons in Physics and Astronomy from Durham University, a Master’s in Astronautics and Space Engineering from Cranfield University, another Master’s in RF Communications and Solid State Physics from the University of Portsmouth and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University.
He has worked in numerous companies, including BAe Systems and CSA Wireless, and travelled extensively in support of projects and test campaigns.
Yura joined the Gas Turbine Research Centre (GTRC) as a Project Engineer in 2010, and contributes to various research areas across a range of combustion techniques and applications.
Energy and Environment
Yura Sevcenco is a Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and an Associate Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, where he is doing his chartership application.
He has reviewed for the AIAA and the Journal of Atmospheric Environment and is recognised by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as an Independent External Expert in the area of Environmental concerns.
