Overview
I'm currently on secondment to the Vice Chancellor's Office (VCO) working on the Future Research Service project, led by Prof Roger Whitaker and Dr David Bembo, managed by James Vilares.
My work primarily involves working on improvements to research processes & systems, including mapping of current processes, identifying opportunities for change, and preparatory work to introduce new systems for research activity. The areas in-scope for improvement currently include Pre-awards (e.g., Costing & Pricing, Research Contracts (e.g., legal work supporting research activity) , Research Ethics, and Post-Awards (e.g., reporting and management of research grants).
