Overview
I am Professor Emerita of Critical and Cultural Theory. I am best known for my books and articles on feminist theory, women's writing, multi-ethnic Britain and cultural politics. My recent research and publications are in two main areas: British Black and Asian Writing and the Cutural Politics of Memory. I am currently working on a book of life stories from East Germany. I am co-editor the book series Critical Perspectives on Theory, Culture and Politics, published by Rowman and Littlefield. I am active in community projects outside the university.
