Overview
Rosie joined the Community Gateway team in November 2014. Her work focuses on programme design, sustainability and strategic development; building and brokering connections across the University and community, and developing and evaluating a programme of activities with the community of Grangetown.
Biography
Rosie's interests include community engagement, co-production, social-equality, community leadership and exploring mechanisms of turning policy and theory into practical action.
Rosie has worked in the private, public and third sectors, developing a keen interest in working collaboratively to achieve social change. Rosie's experience includes working for a Cardiff MP; developing self-advocacy forums for refugees and Asylum Seekers to influence policy in Wales; supporting 3000 older people across to challenge age discrimination, building links between businesses and communities to achieve shared social objectives and implementing the Teach First Leadership Development programme in Wales.
Rosie holds a First Class BA Hons in Philosophy and Sociology from the University of Sussex.
