Research

Research interests

My research interests include Lacanian Psychoanalysis, in particular his four discourses introduced in Seminar XVII, as well as Translation Theory with a strong focus on Bible Translation.

Thesis

Unconscious Discourses in Translation

The main focus of my PhD project is the application of Lacan's discourses to different elements of translation. The application highlights the presence and relevance of Lacanian discourse patterns in approaches to, as well as the processes of translation.

The second part of my project presents an illustration of the above, which identifies and demonstrates the preceding applications in Bible Translation.
