This module equips students with the ability to understand and critically evaluate the claims of management theorists using quantitative and qualitative evidence bases.

Students will be introduced to a range of data interpretation, analysis and presentation methods.

This is a core module on the Pathway to a degree in Business Management, Business Marketing and Business Accounting.

Learning and teaching

The course is taught through a mix of lectures and small group sessions. There are two Saturday schools.

Coursework and assessment

On the Pathway Programme you will have formal assessments. These will take the form of class tests, written assignments, a course journal or a portfolio. Your assessments are designed to prepare you for further study in a degree setting. To award credits we need to have evidence of the knowledge and skills you have gained or improved.

The assessment methods for this module will be written work and a class test.
