El objetivo de este curso de español avanzado es mejorar la competencia del idioma al mismo tiempo que los alumnos obtienen nuevos conocimientos sobre literatura.
En este curso estudiaremos varios temas de la historia del arte (pintores, escultores, arquitectos, el arte en la actualidad, etc.), y la música española tanto clásica como moderna.
Relacionaremos estos temas con el contexto histórico que los envuelve. Utilizaremos variedad de recursos tales como textos escritos, presentaciones, artículos y recortes de prensa.
También utilizaremos materiales audiovisuales como documentales, películas de cine basadas en obras literarias y obras teatrales.
Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de practicar y mejorar sus conceptos gramaticales, vocabulario y destrezas orales mediante actividades tanto orales como escritas presentadas en clase.
Se utilizará el laboratorio de idiomas regularmente para que el alumnado pueda trabajar cada cual a su ritmo y de forma autónoma.
The aim of this advanced Spanish course is to improve the language competency as well as learning new literature concepts.
We will cover a variety of topics related To Spanish Art and Music and the background history that surrounds each topic.
A variety of resources will be used in class: written texts, presentations and news articles.
We will also use some audio-visual resources such as documentaries, films based on the author´s books and theatre plays.
Students will have the opportunity to practice and improve their vocabulary, grammar and spoken language with a variety of written and oral activities covered in class.
Students will regularly use the language lab so that each of them can work at their own pace and independently.
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at advanced level students who wish to improve their aural and oral skills in Spanish. The course will be taught through the medium of Spanish.
Learning and teaching
The emphasis of the course is on participation and students are encouraged to actively participate in class through various non-threatening forms of activities designed to stimulate communication.

Coursework portfolio and class participation. Our assessments are flexible to suit the course and the student.
The most important element of assessment is that it should enhance your learning. Our methods are designed to increase your confidence and we try very hard to devise ways of assessing you that are enjoyable and suitable for adults with busy lives.
