Accolade Wines
PARC are currently working with a major global wine business headquartered in South Australia, running the largest wine warehouse and distribution centre in Europe.
Accolade Park, is a multi-award winning (manufacturer of the year for 2019) bottling facility which employs over 500 people and produces 25 million 9L case equivalents of wine each year.
The project is a three way, two year partnership between Accolade Wines, Cardiff Business School and the PARC Institute.
The purpose of the project is two-fold. Firstly, it aims to assist Accolade Wines in understanding the trade-offs in its supply chain and the interactions of KPIs between different departments. The ultimate goal is to optimise the performance of the supply chain from a holistic point of view.
Secondly, the project aims to improve the forecasting and inventory control capabilities of Accolade Wines by developing planning tools and implementing recommended policies over a period to assess the benefits in inventory investment and customer service levels.
The project has a knowledge transfer nature. It aims to embed the knowledge and the outcomes of the project into the Accolade Wines planning and management team. This will ensure that the benefits of the project will remain and that the members of Accolade Wines feel that they own the achievements and are able to implement improvements in the future.
