We are based in the Cardiff University School of Optometry and Vision Sciences and offer a wide range of high-quality optometric services to the public. Our highly experienced optometrists can assist you with your eye care needs and provide you with the best advice available.
The School of Optometry and Vision Sciences is the only optometric training department in Wales and is where the next generation of leading optometrists are being trained. It’s also where world-leading researchers are investigating vision disorders. This combined expertise means that our staff are always up to date with the latest discoveries and techniques.
We also benefit from using the latest specialist equipment to diagnose and treat eye conditions, and we also run a variety of eye clinics to meet all your needs, including:

We provide a number of specialist clinics for people with special needs and visual impairment including our award-winning clinic for children with Down’s Syndrome run by Dr Margret Woodhouse OBE. We stock a wide range of the latest eyewear to suit all tastes and stock leading brands including Oakley, Dolce&Gabbana, Oliver Peoples, Joules, Silhouette.
There is limited free parking for patients and the clinic is easily accessible by wheelchair.
