Jo Smart

Jo started her career with the Ministry of Defence, maintaining and running a busy office for the Royal Fleet Auxiliary.  She moved to Cardiff in 2006 and spent the following six years working as a Personal Assistant to the CEO and Chief Operating Officer of G24.

Jo joined Cardiff University in November 2012, working as a Personal Assistant to the Director of Human Resources and the Director of Organisational & Staff Development.

Jo soon made her mark - not only for the professional way she approached her role, but also because of the warmth, generosity and kindness she showed to those around her.

Jo’s role also brought her into contact with individuals outside of the HR team, extending across the University and also outside of the organisation.  Everyone she came into contact with was impressed with her professionalism and enthusiasm.

Outside of work Jo had a keen interest in sports and exercise and was passionate about fitness.

Jo was a vibrant individual and we will very much miss the brightness and energy she brought to the work place.
