Allyson Jayne Capron

1980-2023

Allyson was raised by her Grandma and Grandad and was always very close with them. She travelled to Malaysia to visit with them on many occasions, which inspired her love of travel. As a child, she was very close with her cousins Chris and Becky. They spent the summer holidays causing mayhem and making up games. They often used to play up the Graig. Becky will tell you that Allyson had an excellent collection of toys, including many of the She-Ra figurines, Cat-Ra was her favourite.

Allyson was a fiercely independent woman who was never afraid to take on challenges, an accident which saw Allyson become a wheelchair user never stopped her from living her life in that way that she wanted to, she was a lover of cars, music, music festivals, dancing, theatre shows, cats, and all things magic. She was a big lover of fancy dress and was always very glamorous in everything that she strove to do. She had many close friendships and enjoyed laughter, she was very close with her Auntie Tracy and cousin Becky. She made friends wherever she went, including her neighbours. Many will tell you that Allyson truly was the life of the party and will remember her wit, her laugh and her wicked sense of humour!

She worked closely with Tracy to ensure that her Granddad and Grandma were very well cared for in the later stages of their lives, always being there for the both of them when needed.

Allyson lived her life fearlessly, always independent, she travelled all around the world including to Thailand, Japan, Ibiza, Australia, Belgium, Norway, amongst others...

Allyson loved those around her and always showered them with generous gifts, in the shape of books, perfumes, small gifts, anything that would enrich those she cared for lives'.

Allyson loved cats and throughout her life she had several feline companions including Molly and Ginger cat, Allyson spoiled her cats in a way that most cats would envy, towers, luxury bedding, posh food, you name it, they had it!

Allyson was very generous with her time and worked and volunteered for various charities during her adult life including - Elite, a charity that supported people with disabilities into work; Terrence Higgins Trust; Stonewall, and a charity focusing on helping women with mental health. She was passionate about the areas that this work took place in and she was never afraid to talk about them. She would often volunteer at the Cardiff Pride festival. She was never afraid to challenge herself and there is nothing that she wouldn’t dare to do, sky diving in 2010 and swimming with sharks in 2011 to raise money for spinal research.

She played wheelchair rugby with Dragon's wheelchair rugby team at Cardiff Met and absolutely loved it.

In her recent life, Allyson completed University courses at Cardiff University and was particularly interested in elements of Welsh history, the history of magic and other areas, writing short stories. She loved reading and was constantly soaking up information that she was interested in. Allyson found spirituality and was very interested in aspects of the cosmos, astrology, playing tarot, dreams, and loved the healing element of crystals.

We really hope that she has been reunited with Ginger Cat, Grandma and Grandad, Grandad does owe her £3 after all!

Rings on her fingers, bells on her toes, she shall cause trouble wherever she goes... The world will be a much quieter place without Allyson in it.

Rest well our Princess Allybug, we will miss you. Xxx
