Hwyl fawr CSC delegates
6 October 2017
Another successful professional development programme furthers collaboration between Cardiff University and China.
Cardiff University’s Professional Development team bid a fond farewell to the delegates of the 2017 China Scholarship Council (CSC) University Management and Innovation Programme.
Delegates from higher education institutions across China left Cardiff on a high after celebrating their achievements with a certificate presentation ceremony and dinner at the magnificent Cardiff Castle.
Following in the footsteps of world leaders attending the 2014 NATO conference, the delegation assembled in front of the majestic keep of the castle for one final group photograph to commemorate their time in Cardiff.
This year’s programme gave delegates the opportunity to gain a valuable insight into leadership and management in a University context, with a particular focus on innovation.
Informative sessions delivered by senior members of Cardiff University staff were complimented by tours of the university’s prestigious facilities including the Brain Research Imaging Centre and Solcer House and visits to places of cultural significance in Wales.
At the end of the programme, delegates were asked to present an improvement project which they had worked on during their time at the university.
The programme ensured that delegates had opportunities to develop links with colleagues in Cardiff University and it is hoped that these links can be built upon in the coming years to nurture partnerships and grow friendships.
One delegate commented:
“Studying at Cardiff University will be an unforgettable experience for my life.”
