School of Music 8th in Times rankings
26 September 2017
Cardiff University School of Music is celebrating reaching 8th place in the Times Good University Guide 2018, another in a long line of successes this year.
The accolade comes after climbing to 12th place in the Complete University Guide and 13th in the Guardian University league tables.
The School has also celebrated a fantastic achievement of 96% student satisfaction on undergraduate programmes, and 100% student satisfaction for the MA in Music.
It is no doubt thanks to these fantastic achievements, and the dedicated and hard work of the staff at the School, that Cardiff University has shortlisted the School of Music as one of three in the running for School of the Year 2017.
Head of School, Professor Kenneth Hamilton, said of the achievement “We are all very aware that league tables have little to do with music or artistry. Nevertheless, we are of course delighted when we do well in them. We do well, however, by concentrating on music, education and artistry, and not on the statistics themselves.”
The Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide is published annually. It can be found online.
