Neuroscientists at Cardiff University are looking forward to a fun weekend in Brighton after confirming their attendance at this year’s British Science Festival.

The week-long annual event, hosted by the British Science Association (BSA), is Europe’s longest standing science festival and promises to bring together members of the public with scientists, engineers, technologists and social scientists.

With over 150 free events on offer, tens of thousands of people are expected to turn out to celebrate the latest developments in science from 5-9 September 2017.

Representatives from Cardiff University’s Neuroscience and Mental Health Research Institute and the BRAIN Unit plan to give visitors a taste of their research by getting out the paints and delivering a range of fun brain activities for the festival’s grand outdoor finale in Brighton city centre on Saturday 9 September.

The festival will feature everything from specialist beer brewed especially for the event to expert scientist talks and even an opportunity to discover what it’s like to be a bee tracking your way back to its hive in a unique gaming experience.

Having appeared in Swansea last year, the British Science Festival 2017 will be co-hosted by the University of Brighton and the University of Sussex.

You can book tickets to the free events here: https://www.britishsciencefestival.org/

For those who cannot make the festival, we will be tweeting live from Brighton from @neurosciencecu using the hashtag #BSF17, so watch out for our news and updates.

We look forward to seeing you there!
