Radnor Primary school visit
30 June 2017
Some of our early career scientists visited Radnor Primary School in May 2017 as part of the schools "Mad Science" module.
A short interactive talk was given on wound healing followed by the children having an opportunity to race live maggots using the Cardiff Institute Tissue Engineering and Repair (CITER) maggot racing track. It proved to be a fun scientific activity which the children enjoyed.
The students who ran the workshop were:
- Elena Koudouna, PhD Student, School of Optometry and Vision Sciences
- Anastasia Polydorou, MSc student, School of Dentistry
- Eleanor Feneck, PhD student School of Optometry and Vision Sciences
They were joined by the current CITER administrator Amy Smith.
