Celtic Connection – A snapshot of Irish and Welsh Life Sciences
13 June 2017
Get a snapshot of Irish and Welsh Life Sciences on Tuesday 20th June
Celtic Connection brings together life sciences experience from Wales and Ireland, as well as leading experts, academics, investors and advisors. This free session will enable businesses from across Wales and Ireland to learn more about trading in these two regions and explore potential for increasing trade, growth and routes to market.
During the morning session public and private support organisations will lay out what help is available to address the known challenges and opportunities that exist in the sector. The focus will be on identifying the strengths and potential of Welsh/Irish collaboration.
The afternoon session will concentrate on specific key challenges, accompanied by real case studies offered by experienced companies who have already trodden that path. There will be two interactive panel sessions on Intellectual Property and Funding. These will consist of a short introduction from an expert in each field from both Wales and Ireland, followed by a relevant case study from each country and then open discussion and questions. The chance to network is a key part of Celtic Connection and further information will follow to those who have booked a place.
The event is enabled by the British Irish Chamber of Commerce and the South and Mid Wales Chambers of Commerce in partnership with the Life Sciences Hub Wales, CALIN (Celtic Advanced Life Science Innovation Network – an Ireland Wales 2014-2020 programme part funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government), and the Knowledge Transfer Network.
