Athena Swan Award Success
30 April 2013
The commitment of Cardiff School of Biosciences to the advancement of the careers of women in science has been nationally recognised with a Bronze Athena SWAN award.
The Athena SWAN Charter recognises commitment to advancing women's careers in science, technology, engineering, mat hs and medicine (STEMM) employment in higher education. Four of the University's academic schools, (Biosciences, Dentistry, Engineering and Medicine), have each been granted Athena SWAN bronze status recognising the University's commitment to promoting women in science.
The School of Biosciences has ambitions to re-apply for a Silver award in the 2014/15 academic year. The full action plan and the details of the Bronze award submission, together with other relevant information are available on the school of Biosciences Athena SWAN web pages.
