National Software Academy to feature on BBC Wales Today

On Wednesday 5 April, The National Software Academy will feature as part of a BBC series on the Digital Economy in Wales.
The piece, which is called ‘Wales – A Digital Future’, is part of a series of short films within the BBC Wales Today programme and will look at how digital skills are being developed in the local area to improve the digital economy.
The programme will feature a short interview with the Academy Manager, Matthew Turner, and a piece featuring two Academy students Jamie Highfield and Adam Thomas; both of whom have worked with App Lingua to develop an app that aims to help shoppers identify shops that have Welsh speaking staff.
Matthew Turner, the National Software Academy Manager said “It’s great that the National Software Academy and its students are being recognised for the fantastic work they do. The Academy is a driving force for the tech industry in the local area and offers a unique and innovative learning environment for the skilled software engineers of the future."
The programme will air on Wednesday 5 April at 18:30 and will feature staff and students of the National Software Academy at Cardiff University.
