Cardiff Physicists represent Wales in prestigious debating competition
11 November 2016
Jonathan Roberts and Kyle Retallick, 2nd year Physics and Astronomy students, will be the only representatives from Wales at the international Oxford Inter-Varsity debating competition this weekend.
Jonathan and Kyle have only recently started debating, and have done fantastically well to reach this competition, beating many more experienced teams along the way.
Kyle said: "I love my physics but I am really enjoying doing something so different. It is very stimulating to have to think about some really big, global issues, and it has made me think about the possibilities of a career in science policy work".
Dr Annabel Cartwright, Employability & Careers Officer, said: "Jonathan and Kyle have done a fantastic job and this is a great achievement for them to be competing in such a prestigious competition. We wish them both the very best of luck."
Best of luck to both students, we're all rooting for you!
