High flying students
16 August 2012
Outstanding students are set to enrol at the University after receiving their A-Level results today, continuing Cardiff's record of attracting high-flying undergraduates.
Part of the Russell Group of research intensive universities, Cardiff remains one of the most popular places to study. The University's research-led teaching environment and multi-million pound state-of-the-art facilities attract students from the UK and internationally.
Dave Roylance, Head of Undergraduate Recruitment at the University said: "We congratulate all of those applicants who have achieved the grades required for admission, and look forward to welcoming this new intake of promising new undergraduates to the University in September.
"Congratulations also go to our Thrive Challenge winner, Chris Nation and his fellow finalists who all secured their places at Cardiff."
As in previous years, Cardiff University has entered Clearing to recruit a limited number of additional high calibre students.
Dave Roylance added: "This is excellent news for well-qualified students seeking a university place for this autumn. Cardiff's reputation for the quality of its teaching and its capital city location mean that it is one of the most popular universities in the UK
"Our message to high quality students still looking for places is to contact us immediately as the picture is changing minute by minute and our remaining places are in great demand."
Details of the course vacancies available can be found on the University's Clearing pages or by contacting the Clearing Enquiry Centre: 029 2087 6000.
