Investing in the University – share your ideas
7 March 2013
A new web page has been launched to enable Cardiff University staff to share their ideas about how the University should invest to deliver its strategic plan.
To make sure the University identifies and considers all possibilities, the site encourages staff members to contribute their ideas for what needs to be done, as well as where things could be done differently.
These could be new suggestions, projects that are already in progress or that might have a wider application or problems that need solving.
These might include things like:
- New buildings
- Refurbishments
- Infrastructure
- Learning resources
- Teaching facilities
- IT
- Power / environmental
- Research equipment
- Changing the way we work
- General environment – beyond the university
- Other kinds of new services / new facilities
- An insoluble issue that if solved would improve the university
- Something you have done (or are trying to do) that should be rolled out so that others could benefit
Access the initiatives site at: https://sites.cardiff.ac.uk/initiatives/ to share your ideas and feedback. The website will be available until Thursday 28thMarch. Visitors to the site can also browse the ideas already submitted to see what others are thinking.
Professor Elizabeth Treasure, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, said: "The initiatives website will give all members of University staff an opportunity to input into the future strategic planning of the University. We're confident that the ideas and feedback shared through the site will help the strategic decision-making and project planning across the University."
