Sustainability Awards
21 March 2013
Do you know a student or staff member who is passionate about the environment and has helped raise awareness of sustainable practices?
A new Sustainability Award launched by Megan David, Welfare and Community Officer in the Students' Union will reward and recognise the excellent work students and staff are doing towards building an environmental movement across campus.
All members of the University community are invited to nominate their peers or work colleagues for the awards. You may know a staff member or student who has shown outstanding commitment to the environment; someone who hasinspired you through their excellent work in the genre of sustainability; or who has demonstrated passion for environmental projects, working on local, national or international initiatives.
Nominations are open until Tuesday 30th April 2013 and can be submitted here: http://www.cardiffstudents.com/news/article/6013/Sustainability-Awards/
Megan David said: "The aim of these awards is to promote innovation and excellence in sustainable practices, academic work or community engagement by recognising and honouring those students and staff that are exemplars in the field.
"I hope that by embedding sustainability in our vision as a University and Students' Union, the winners chosen in these awards will demonstrate leadership, having driven demonstrable results through innovation, engagement and a commitment to building a more environmentally focused University."
Winners will be chosen by senior members of University staff and trustees at the Students' Union.
