Inspired by Cardiff graduates?

Cardiff city centre is crammed full of successful students, parading the streets in caps and gowns preparing to enjoy their graduation ceremonies. Do they inspire you to achieve your learning ambitions?  In a few years you could also be celebrating your academic success, if you enrol on a Pathway to a Degree from the University's Centre for Lifelong Learning.

The Centre's Progression Pathways enable adult learners to access undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Cardiff University. These Pathways are specifically designed to support adults from all sorts of backgrounds to realise their ambition of studying for a degree in their chosen subjects.

Progression Pathways are currently offered in the following subjects: Accounting and Finance, Business and Management, History and Archaeology, Modern Languages, Religious Studies, Social Science, and Translation Studies. We are also working with other academic schools within the University to add new subject areas to that list.

Dr Zbig Sobiesierski, Co-Dean of the Centre for Lifelong Learning, says: "We are delighted to be leading the University strategy on creating and developing pathways, and are excited about the prospect of working closely with Schools to fulfil this important University objective."

Paul Osborne, a Pathways student said: "It has always been an ambition of mine to study at University, and recent changes in my career and personal circumstances have made this a possibility. So when I became aware of Exploring the Past at Cardiff I jumped at the 'opportunity of a lifetime' to work towards a degree at a top British University. I joined the Exploring the Past pathway in October 2012 having been away from education for 30 years, and, in only 8 months, I have achieved a lifelong ambition having been offered a place on an archaeology and ancient history degree at Cardiff University."
