CPD Unit now holds record 25 Compliance Plus awards following Customer Service Excellence assessment

We are proud to announce that we have again passed our Customer Service Excellence© (CSE©) annual review, surpassing expectations to gain a new Compliance Plus award, taking our total to a record 25.
A Compliance Plus is awarded where the team is considered to be achieving over and above the required standard.
Exceptional customer service is at the heart of everything the CPD Unit does. Crucially, our ‘customers’ are not just the organisations and staff that book CPD courses, but also our university colleagues. We work hard to provide them with an excellent service – from timely and thorough responses to queries, to sharing creative and innovative ideas to support the CPD learner’s whole journey.
The CSE© standard is a comprehensive assessment, backed by the Cabinet Office. It is designed to test and highlight every element of a service to ensure ongoing excellence. We took part in a full assessment in 2023, gaining 2 new Compliance Plus awards, taking our total to 24.
In this review year, despite the external assessor noting that awarding further compliance plus standards is not normally possible, we added an additional award in ‘demonstrating a commitment to developing and delivering customer focused services in recruitment, development and training opportunities for staff’.

I’m very proud of what the team has achieved over the years, which has culminated in gaining the CSE standard and being awarded 25 compliance pluses. Our assessor commented on the passion and positivity within the team, which I believe is the bedrock to a culture that supports continuous improvement in services.
