Net Zero Innovation Institute has launched a suite of new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses to boost green skills in Wales.

The courses, launching in early 2025, will enable industry and public sector professionals to study alongside other postgraduate students while upskilling in areas such as energy systems, low carbon built environment and sustainable planning and policy.  It is hoped that access to high-quality CPD will begin to address the skills gap and to prepare key sectors for the transition to net zero.

The Net Zero Innovation Institute is shaping our sustainable future by bringing together the most talented, forward-thinking, and multi-disciplinary research minds. Their research is grounded in three key areas – understanding the resources we have available in meeting net zero; asking if it’s possible to mitigate climate impacts by using science and engineering; and supporting the long-term transition to a greener economy.

This initial offering consists of a suite of Postgraduate level short courses, allowing practitioners to engage in cutting edge and research-led knowledge in a flexible manner. We hope this programme will provide valuable insights into the demand for various topics within private, public and third sectors.
