11 July 2024
Congratulations to Sophie Page, one of our BSc students, for her recent success in the Women in Property South Wales Student Awards.
Sophie was announced as the regional winner at the event, which took place at The Classroom in Cardiff. The award judges described Sophie as “an outstanding candidate, confident and very focussed, clearly an incredible work ethic, a dedicated student with a passion for what she does.”
Women in Property is a national membership organisation for women working in the property and construction industry. The Women in Property South Wales Student Awards programme showcases top-performing built environment students. The annual event provides employers in the property and construction sector with a platform to engage with some of the most promising undergraduates in the built environment sector.
On her award, Sophie said "I am honoured to receive this prestigious award and to stand alongside such an inspirational group of women at this year’s ceremony. I am deeply grateful for the opportunities and unwavering support this organisation has provided to me and so many other young women. I am proud to be a part of such an uplifting community and look forward to playing an ongoing role in their efforts to empower women in the pursuit of exciting and rewarding careers in this vital sector of our national economy.”
The national final, on Thursday 19th September in London, will see Sophie compete against 13 other students from across the UK for the prestigious national award. The winner will be announced at the Best of the Best Dinner at Claridge’s later that evening.
We are hugely proud of Sophie's achievement, and that her hard work and commitment to excellence in her field has been recognised. Llongyfarchiadau!
