2024 Alumni 30(ish) Awards now open for nominations
28 May 2024
Following their success in 2022 and 2023, the 30(ish) Awards are back to celebrate and share the story of the changemakers, innovators, and rule-breakers in the Cardiff University alumni community.
We will be recognising a list of 30(ish) alumni who have made a positive contribution to their community, and all before they hit 30. Well, 30(ish). Nominations are now open, so whether you’re bossing it and nominating yourself, or know of another game-changer who you think deserves recognition, be sure to make your case by 21 July 2024.
All winners (and their staff nominator – if they had one) will be invited to the 30(ish) Awards event on Thursday 10 October in sbarc | spark, hosted by the Vice-Chancellor. Forget traditional black tie – this is all about celebrating and connecting with like-minded bright sparks.
New for 2024 is the Vice-Chancellor’s Award, which will be presented to one special winner on the night. The popular ‘People’s Choice’ award returns for 2024, as voted for by the alumni and Cardiff community. Last year, more than 30 exceptional alumni were recognised with awards for innovation, creativity, positive work in their community or for the environment, and excellence in their field. Winners included optometrist Lucky Aziken (MSc 2023), environmental activist Aleena Khan (BSc 2020, MSc 2023), journalist James Smart (MA 2016), and developer Cellan Hall (BSc 2019, MSc 2021).
Recognise the contributions of our alumni community and take a chance on landing them (or yourself) an exclusive spot at a night of connecting with other pioneering Cardiff alumni. Find out more and make your nomination.
