Lifetime achievement award for Cardiff Business School professor

Rick Delbridge, Professor of Organizational Analysis, has been awarded the Richard Whipp Lifetime Achievement Award, from the British Academy of Management (BAM) at this year’s BAM2023 Conference.
BAM is the leading authority on the academic field of management in the UK, supporting and representing the community of scholars and engaging with international peers.
The award was established in memory of Professor Richard Whipp to acknowledge his considerable contribution to developing the Academy. Professor Whipp was a Chair of BAM and also Cardiff Business School Professor of Human Resource Management and a Cardiff University Pro Vice-Chancellor.
Professor Delbridge was nominated for the award for his outstanding scholarly contribution to the field of organization and management theory, his significant contribution to BAM and the wider Business, Management and Social Science communities, including several roles with the ESRC and as academic lead for the development of Cardiff University’s social science park, sbarc|spark. Professor Delbridge was made a Fellow of BAM in 2013 and received the BAM Medal for Leadership in 2020.
The award is presented at every BAM Annual Conference and is designed to reward the course of a career within the Business and Management field.
