McAllister in the running for UEFA post

Professor Laura McAllister has been nominated for election to the UEFA Executive Committee.

Supported by the Football Association of Wales, the former Wales captain and current Professor at Cardiff University’s Wales Governance Centre will be up for election at the UEFA congress in Lisbon on April 5 2023.

In April 2021, McAllister, who is currently co-chair of the Independent Commission on the Constitutional Future of Wales, narrowly missed out on election to the FIFA Council by six votes, following a campaign strongly supported by sporting and governance audiences in Wales.
