Video: Brittle with Relics

A full house gathered at the Pierhead building to hear the author Richard King deliver the 2022 Wales Governance Centre Annual Lecture.

Drawing upon his acclaimed book Brittle with Relics (Faber), King outlined the history of popular protest in Wales in the decades leading up to the 1997 devolution referendum

The Welsh Government Minister for Social Justice, Jane Hutt, spoke to introduce the lecture and to recount her own involvement in the feminist and anti-nuclear weapons movements which shaped progressive politics in Wales.
