Welsh Election Study team to shed light on 100 years of Welsh Labour dominance
31 October 2022
November 15th will mark the centenary of the 1922 general election, the first at which Labour won the most votes and seats in Wales, starting a winning streak that has continued to the present day and which has no parallel in the democratic world.
As part of a wider programme of events marking the 100-year anniversary of the 1922 general election, the Welsh Election Study team at Cardiff University’s Wales Governance Centre has organised this special one-off event in which survey data from a period of over forty years will be utilised in order to explain why Labour keep winning in Wales.
The event will take place in the Pierhead Building and will be chaired by Elliw Gwawr.
